Meet Our Team

Toni Pizzi has been part of our dental family since January 1994. She has worked as a receptionist and expanded duties dental assistant. Then, in 2001, she stepped into her invaluable role as our office manager. Having over thirty years’ experience in these positions Toni’s knowledge in coordinating appointments, preparing treatment plans with the doctors, and assisting patients with insurance and financial arrangements is second to none! Toni takes pride in being an integral part of our team’s commitment to delivering top notch dental care. In her free time Toni loves being around her family and friends either at the beach or on the golf course.

Carrie Persad is a dedicated dental hygienist with a strong foundation in both clinical care and patient education. Her background spans dental assisting, hygiene, and anesthesia administration, allowing her to deliver comprehensive, attentive care tailored to each patient’s needs. Carrie is highly skilled in periodontal therapy, preventive care, and patient comfort, with experience working in specialized periodontal settings as well as general dentistry. She is licensed to administer local
anesthetics and is known for her attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining optimal oral health. In addition to her clinical work, Carrie has contributed to the profession through teaching dental assisting at PBSC. She remains actively engaged in dentistry as a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and the Dental Hygiene Society. Carrie’s calm, compassionate demeanor helps patients feel at ease from the moment they sit in the chair. She takes pride in educating patients and partnering with them to achieve and maintain a healthy, confident smile. On her free time she enjoys cooking, wine pairing crossfit, hiking, spending time with family and traveling.

Gina is a Certified Registered Dental Hygienist who joined us in 2018 when she relocated to Florida from Connecticut. She has over thirty-five years of experience in the dental field.  She began her career in dentistry as a Dental Assistant and then went on to receive both her Associate of Science in 1997 and Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 1998 from the University of New Haven. She also holds a permit to administer local anesthesia. Gina loves to get to know her patients and her caring and nurturing personality will undoubtedly make you feel comfortable at your next dental hygiene visit. She also loves spending time with her family and friends and enjoys the outdoors, especially the beach.

Fatima Brecht, our dental assistant coordinator. Fatima began her dental career in 1986 as a dental lab technician. She has over thirty-five years of experience, and has been with our office since October 1994. Fatima, with her lighthearted personality, has the ability to make patients feel confident and comfortable with their dental experience. Fatima loves the atmosphere and challenges of dentistry which can be seen every day with each patient she sees. As a Jupiter native, Fatima loves being with her family doing anything outdoors.

Claudia Agudelo received her Registered Dental Assistant Certification from Lincoln College of Technology in 2013. She was born and raised in Colombia and became a citizen of the United States in 2010. With Claudia’s drive for excellence and her willingness to learn the latest technologies in dentistry, you can be assured that you are going to be in good hands at your next dental visit. Her dynamic and fun personality has brought great spirits to the office and is sure to be an added delight at your next appointment.

Alexandra “Alex” Smith, CDA born and raised in Lake Park Florida. In 2023, she went off to pursue a career in dental assisting. She received her certification from Florida Career College. She joined our team in January 2024 and has great enthusiasm for dentistry. Alex is dedicated to becoming the best assistant she can be as she loves taking on new challenges. We are excited to have her on our team. She has an outgoing and caring personality and is guaranteed to make you not only feel safe but comfortable at your next dental visit. When she is not spending time with her family, she enjoys going to gym or just relaxing with a good book.

Kathy L. Jeffries began her dental career in May 1998 here in our office after successful careers in nutrition, music, and the literary side of writing. She felt she needed a new challenge. A chance mutual acquaintance would be the first step in a pilot program created by Dr. Scherb for the in-office lab. From that point on, the program has become more than Dr. Scherb or Mrs. Jeffries had envisioned and continues to grow on a daily basis. Kathy’s official title is Dental Lab Coordinator and she also manages all the clinical supplies, retail supplies, and maintenance issues in the office, as well as develops assorted pilot programs for the office.

Emilia was born and raised in South Florida. Emilia serves as our Scheduling Coordinator at Jupiter Smiles Dentistry, where she enjoys helping patients feel welcomed and supported while ensuring the office runs smoothly.  Her favorite part of the job is working with the amazing team here and interacting with patients. Emilia joined the practice in 2025 with the goal of gaining valuable experience and knowledge in the field of dentistry. She is currently pursuing her dream of becoming a dentist and is in the process of applying to dental school. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Natural and Applied Sciences from Florida International University. Outside of work she loves to exercise, spend time with family, and cook.

Kyser graduated from the University of Alabama and joined our team in May 2025. Born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, she has been visiting Florida since the age of two and knew it was where she wanted to begin her career after graduation. Kyser serves as our Relationship Coordinator and manages our social media presence. Her positive attitude and bubbly personality help patients feel comfortable, welcomed, and at ease from the moment they walk through our doors. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, attending Pilates classes, and finding the nearest coffee shop to fuel her love for coffee.
